The South Morang football club can now relocate to Mill Park
Lakes new twin ovals and pavilion after the City of Whittlesea Mayor Counciller John
Fry opened the Mill Park Lakes Recreation Reserve Pavilion on Saturday November
11th 2006 at 10am. Since 1956 the South Morang Lions
have conducted their matches at Morang South in Plenty Road.
Together with representatives from the South Morang Cricket
club, the South Morang senior and junior football clubs and representatives from
the Diamond Valley Cricket Association and the DVFL were told that 16 people per
day move into Mill Park Lakes and it was Council's plan that the Mernda football
club would be next to receive twin ovals.
